What We Do

Embryo Adoption for Fertility Solutions

It's hard to wait around for something that might never be but it's harder to let go when it is everything you have ever wanted.

Adoption is an act of love, fulfilled by the courage of couples who want to share their love with children. Embryo adoption is life-giving love in action in an age of technology.

Patients and couples, who choose to adopt donated embryos, may do so for a number of reasons. For instance, receiving donated embryos in many cases is less expensive than traditional adoption or receiving donor eggs. As well, unlike traditional adoption, adopting donated embryos allow the recipient couple to experience pregnancy related events, including early bonding; labor and delivery; breastfeeding; etc. In addition, the process of receiving donated embryos is less visible to the public and therefore more private than traditional adoption.

Embryo Adoption

Our Embryo Adoption Program accepts the donation of high quality embryos from a diverse population of patients. This affords those patients and couples seeking to adopt donated embryos through our Program several advantages, such as:

  •  All donated embryos for adoption were created using the most up-to-date technology and were cryopreserved using the latest vitrification techniques, ensuring proper and equivalent methods for the thaw and preparation of those embryos will be employed at the time of transfer.

  •  All donated embryos for adoption are stored on-site and maintained by the CRH’s laboratory team, eliminating the concern with transferring/transporting the embryos from one facility to another.

  •  All physical, medical, and in cases of genetic screening (if/when required or performed) of the donating parties whose gametes were used in the creation of the embryos for donation, will be/has been performed and/or reviewed by the CRH’s medical and clinical teams.

  •  Our Program does not require the recipient(s) to have a “home study” performed (~$1,000 to $3,000), “psychological evaluation” (~$175 to $300), “attorney fees” (~$3,000) or “social worker study” (~$175 to $200).

  •  Our Program does not require third party/outside agency involvement.

  • Our Program does not discriminate against patients because of their age, marital status or sexual preference.

Patients who choose to do embryo adoption will receive the donated embryo(s).

We encourage you to contact our office to schedule an appointment with our physicians to discuss this and all fertility therapy/treatment options CRH has to offer.

Our objective is to assist every CRH patient with achieving their goal of starting or enlarging their family. We do our best to ensure patients have a clear understanding of their treatment options, so they are able to choose the option that will best fit their needs.

You Can Make a Difference - Embryo Donation

When a couple who has stored embryos decides that they do not want to add any more children to their family, they must decide what to do with those remaining embryos.

By donating them to another couple, the donating parents give each of their embryos a chance to be born while also giving a childless couple the hope of parenthood.

Embryo adoption can be an extremely attractive option for all these individuals. For more information on our Embryo Adoption Program, please contact us at 615-321-8899
